"One can't believe impossible things." ~ Alice in Wonderland
Sometimes, being less logical and following our hearts instead can lead us on magical journeys where dreams can come true. "She began to believe that very few things are indeed impossible" ~ Alice in Wonderland
There is a story to be told here, one that's inspiring and shows us that life is a cycle that's always changing and sometimes leads us on different paths, ones that we never thought we would be on.
They were both mechanical engineers by profession, and after 10 years in the field, Sharda's passion for art and cooking began to overshadow her profession. This resulted in her switching careers and taking up a pastry arts course, which led to the beginning of their business. Her husband Khaeer then left his career as well to help Shandra pursue her dream in pastry arts and baking. It was a major switch in their life, with also having a new born baby to take care of; but this is what made their hearts smile, so they followed this new path. Being new parents while trying to manage a business is no easy task; finding the balance can be difficult. Their story touched me personally, because my journey has been a very similar one.

Although their business was not initially vegan, for ethical reasons they converted Graincafe to a 100% vegan business.
Now they're sharing their love for baking and cooking by offering a perfectly engineered menu of decadent vegan desserts and savoury items.
Needless to say, we were so thrilled when they offered to gift us with two of their monthly tea boxes.
September's Tea Box was an Alice in Wonderland Theme - a perfectly curated box filled with scrumptious vegan tea-time bites, including all of the whimsical fun of Alice in Wonderland. It was such a fun and appetizing display of food, I couldn't resist laying out a little tea party spread with the kids, while taking the opportunity to get some cute photos of Gaia and Arius. This time I got an actual photographer to shoot these memorable moments.
The items featured in the Alice in Wonderland Tea Box were: Pumpkin Ginger Soup, Tofu "egg" Salad Sandwiches, Vietnamese Rolls with Peanut Dipping Sauce, Carrot Pecan Muffins, Lavender Cookies, Watermelon Mint Shooters and an assortment of Tea Sachets.

I enjoyed reading about their journey. Its so cool to read about people who take a leap to follow their dream and switch occupations to live a life they enjoy. Also as a vegan I am happy they ended up doing vegan items! lol! Great article!
