Multi-Purpose šŸ…Marinara - A healthy Marinara sauce made from freshšŸ… tomatoes and naturally sweetened withšŸŒplantain.

This marinara sauce is fully customizable! You can add to it a variety of your favouritešŸƒ herbs and spices to compliment youršŸ½ dishes.

šŸ½Tasty Tips: This Marinara can be served withšŸ pasta, layered on lasagna or spread onšŸ•pizza!

Ingredients


  • 3 cups RipeTomatoes medium diced

  • 1 Ripe Plantain medium diced

  • 2 Tbl Soy sauce

  • Ā½ Tsp Salt

  • 1 Tbl Minced Garlic

  • 1 Tbl Parsley Flakes

  • Ā¼ Cup diced onion

  • Ā½ Tsp Turmeric

  • 1 Tbl Paprika

  • 1 Tbl Coconut oil- I used Simply Natural Coconut Oil @cgacaribbean


Method


  1. Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and puree until smooth.

  2. Pour the sauce into a deep pot and place on a medium heat stove.

  3. When the sauce begins to bubble, lower the heat and simmer for approximately 15- 20minutes. The sauce should have thickened and the raw taste of the plantain is gone.

  4. Remove from heat and serve.
